Privacy Notice

This notice applies to the official ZOA Protocol website and related web profile features operated by ZOA LLC. It does not replace privacy information supplied inside the game or by a third-party service.

Steam, Discord, YouTube, and other destinations linked from this site determine their own processing under their own policies once you use those services.

Public browsing. The hosting and shared gateway infrastructure may process ordinary request data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested page, timestamp, and security events. The public site has no first-party analytics enabled by default.

Steam sign-in. If you choose a Steam profile feature, Steam authenticates you through OpenID and returns a Steam identifier and the public profile information Steam makes available for that sign-in. The shared gateway then maintains an authenticated session using an HttpOnly cookie. ZOA LLC does not receive your Steam password or Steam Guard code.

Messages. If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever information, attachments, and diagnostic details you choose to include.

We use information to deliver and secure the website, provide requested Steam profile features, maintain a signed-in session, respond to support and safety reports, investigate faults or abuse, comply with law, and defend the rights and safety of players, ZOA LLC, and others.

Depending on where you live, the legal basis may be performance of a service you request, ZOA LLC’s legitimate interests in operating and protecting the site, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent where consent is required.

Information may be processed by providers that host, secure, or support the website on ZOA LLC’s instructions. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect people or services, investigate abuse, or support a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and the public site does not use first-party behavioral advertising or first-party analytics by default.

The Windows game is distributed through Steam. Valve separately controls Steam accounts, storefront transactions, platform activity, and information you give to Steam. Review Valve’s notices for those activities.

Outbound links to Steam, Discord, YouTube, and other sites take you away from the ZOA Protocol website. Their cookies, logs, embeds, and account practices are controlled by those services, not by this notice.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described above, including support follow-up, service integrity, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Retention can vary with the type of record and the issue involved. Session cookies expire or cease to authenticate according to the gateway’s session controls; signing out ends the active web session.

ZOA LLC and its providers use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can browse public pages without signing in, decline Steam sign-in, sign out, clear the essential session cookie, and choose what to include in a support message.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, or to withdraw consent and complain to a local data-protection authority. Some rights have legal exceptions. We may need enough information to verify and process a request.

The website and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, ZOA LLC uses recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers and respects mandatory local protections.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the website without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

We may update this notice when the website, its integrations, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented appropriately on the site.
